CEPA published a report commissioned by EDF Energy titled "RIIO-ED1: Managing Volatility, a Report for EDF Energy". The report considers alternative approaches to the current arrangements of managing network volatility and unpredictability, conducts a cost benefit analysis and provides a set of conclusions on current arrangements and potential benefits. The report builds on the proposals made by Ofgem through its work on mitigating network volatility and considers the economic principles of managing network pricing volatility including the future profile and the predictability of Distribution Use of System (DUOS) charges.
