Over the last few months, CEPA has been pleased to support a London School of Economics ‘Capstone’ project to explore impacts of digitalisation on the energy market. The LSE student team combined the development of a stylised theoretical model and interviews with a number of industry figures to explore the distributional effects of enhanced price discrimination, facilitated by improved data. While focussed on the energy market, the findings have broader implications across sectors.
CEPA set the task for this project and provided steer on the analytical framework employed by the students. We plan to build on this work by thinking about these topics in further detail and by participating in the debate over the issues in the coming months and years.
If you’d like to discuss the findings of this work or the impacts of digitalisation more broadly, please get in touch with Lewis Heather either by email or telephone, +44 (0)20 7269 0210
