Ireland’s Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) has published its initial position on a proposed electricity link between the Republic of Ireland and France (known as ‘Celtic Interconnector’).

The CRU’s position has been informed by CEPA analysis as to the costs and benefits of the Celtic interconnector, in the context of various scenarios for the Irish and French electricity sectors.

This is part of ongoing support that CEPA is providing the CRU on assessing proposals for new electricity interconnection in Ireland.
