The Northern Ireland Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI) has published a report completed by CEPA and Ricardo-AEA, commissioned as part of the Phase 2 extension of the Northern Ireland Renewable Heat Incentive. The report builds on work completed for DETI in 2011 during the development of the initial non-domestic incentive and domestic Premium Payments schemes. The Phase 2 report provides recommendations on a number of extensions to the schemes already in place, including extension to the domestic sector, inclusion of additional non-domestic technologies, support for industrial biomass, and options to support district heating networks and combined heat and power.
