The Irish Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (DCCAE) has published its final consultation on the development and design of a new Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) for Ireland. The consultation draws on the findings of a detailed economic analysis conducted by CEPA, which aimed to:

  • estimate the costs associated with introducing the scheme; and

  • develop a series of cost-effective, high-level design options, based around the need to ensure the scheme is structured so that it supports efficient design, installation and operation, investment and overall value-for-money for Irish customers.

CEPA’s report has been published alongside the consultation.
