Ivan ViehoffHaving been invited to speak at an industry roundtable hosted by the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) on 5 December 2017, Ivan Viehoff, one of CEPA's principal consultants and a highly experienced economist, joined experts from University College London (UCL), Transport for London (TfL), Transport for the North (TfN) and the Department for Transport (DfT) to address key transport sector stakeholders.

Delegates from both the public and private sectors came together to consider and demonstrate the contribution that transport makes to society and to look at potential future developments. Making the case for freight transport and noting that WebTAG provides the value of time for freight vehicle and operatives, but not the freight itself Ivan explored how road provides value for freight consigners and recipients and gave an indication of something substantial that might be missing from standard road appraisals.
