Presentation of new Value of Lost Load (VoLL) findingsOn Monday, 18 June, consultants Lewis Heather, Daniel Mitchell and Will Glevey were in Brussels, presenting the draft findings of CEPA’s EU VoLL study at an Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) workshop. This study has produced VoLL estimates for each Member State, disaggregated by consumer type, for the very first time.
The analysis also revealed interesting findings in relation to the dependence of consumers on electricity for leisure and productive output as well as the benefits to consumers of providing notice ahead of a disruption.
CEPA’s report will soon be published by ACER. In the meantime, the materials prepared for the workshop are available to download from their website.
