CEPA senior advisor invited to speak at payments regulation forum
Richard Gleed, a senior advisor with CEPA and expert on regulatory issues in financial services, will address government officials, regulators and representatives from across the payments supply chain at a key industry event considering “The future of payments regulation in the UK”. The highly topical event will be hosted by Westminster Business Forum in London, on Thursday, 28 June 2018 and will follow the creation of the new Payments Systems Operator.
Delegates, including payments system operators, banks, building societies, PayTechs and other payment services providers (alongside academics, commentators, consumer groups, lawyers, and the media) will also have the opportunity to hear from Hannah Nixon, MD of the Payment Systems Regulator and Melanie Johnson, Chair of the new Payments Systems Operator.
Richard’s experience includes working as an economic advisor in H M Treasury and working as a consultant with PWC and IBM. As a consultant, he has worked for both regulatory authorities (the Competition Directorate of the European Commission, the Payment Systems Regulator and the UK’s Office of Fair Trading and Financial Services Authority) and for numerous companies making representations to them.
