Anisa Hasan-Granier

Anisa Hasan-Granier is a consultant working within the Global Health practice. She is particularly interested in adolescent sexual and reproductive health, communicable diseases, and health system strengthening.

Prior to joining CEPA, Anisa worked in the Bioethics Department of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). While at PAHO, she worked on reviews of the legislative frameworks governing research ethics and COVID-19 related clinical trials in Latin America and the Caribbean. She also gained country level experience supporting PAHO’s research ethics initiatives in Paraguay and identifying avenues for health systems strengthening.

Anisa completed her MSc in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Health and Societies. Her MSc dissertation was a systematic review of the effects of COVID-19 related school closures on adolescent health and well-being outcomes in low- and middle-income countries with a focus on the mediating effects of disability, gender and poverty.
