Benjamin Osenius-Eite

Benjamin has extensive experience working as an economist in the public sector, having worked at Vanuatu’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Management and in various roles for the UK Government. His background is in transport, health and development economics.
Benjamin Osenius-Eite is a managing consultant based in CEPA’s Sydney office. He has extensive experience working as an economist in the public sector, having worked in various roles in the UK Government. His background is in transport, health and development economics.
Before joining the firm in Sydney, Benjamin worked at the UK’s Department for Transport (DfT) where he was head of EU Exit border analysis. Here he provided advice to ministers on potential impacts on transport infrastructure from different EU Exit scenarios and led on modelling key UK ports. Before this he was at the UK’s National Audit Office where he delivered a wide range of value for money studies primarily in the health sector. His first role in the UK government was at HM Treasury where he worked on the regulation of retail financial products.
Prior to working in the UK Government, Benjamin was posted as an ODI Fellow to Vanuatu’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Management. His main role was to advise the Vanuatu government on the effective use of funds in the health sector.
Benjamin holds a MSc in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London, where he also received his Bachelors degree in Economics.
