Paul joined CEPA as an economist in 2021. Since joining the firm, he has worked in the transport and energy sectors.
Paul de Jong joined CEPA in 2021. Since joining the firm, he has worked in the transport and energy sectors. His recent experience includes working on the evaluation of investments in the transport sector and price controls in the energy sector.
Paul holds an MSc in Economics & Philosophy (Distinction) from the London School of Economics (LSE), where he received the Hayek Prize for best overall performance. His dissertation analysed the prospects of extending the standard economic model of decision-making under empirical uncertainty to contexts of evaluative uncertainty. Paul also holds an MA in Philosophy (Distinction) from King’s College London, and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. During his studies, Paul gained experience using R, STATA, and Python.
