Robert MacLennan
Economist
Rob is a CEPA Economist who was previously an intern at University of Cambridge Investment Management. He holds both an MPhil in Economics Research and a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
Rob MacLennan is an Economist at CEPA. Since joining the firm in 2024 he has primarily worked in the firm’s global health practice, with additional project work with CEPA’s transport team.
Within the global health practice, Rob is currently leading the model development of a Next Generation Prevention Tools Modelling assignment for Medicines for Malaria Venture, supporting the development of the 2026-30 strategy for the International AIDS Society and assisting the development of a monitoring and evaluation plan for the TB Alliance. He has also worked with CEPA’s transport practice, including undertaking a benchmarking analysis for the Aircraft Noise Competent Authority to support the assessment of Dublin Airport's application to lift its passenger cap.
Rob completed his MPhil in Economics Research (Distinction) from the University of Cambridge where he held the 2022-23 Nower Scholarship at St John’s College. Rob also holds a BA (First Class) in Economics from the University of Cambridge where he was awarded both the Wright Prize and Davidson Scholarship. Before joining CEPA, Rob completed internships at University of Cambridge Investment Management and Eagles Development and Relief Fund (a grassroots NGO in Malawi) and worked as a research assistant at the Cambridge University Economics Faculty.
